Affiliate disclosure
SteadyMic participates in Krisp's affiliate program via the Impact network. Links routed through /go/krisp/ may earn this site a commission on qualifying purchases; your price is unchanged. Every page carrying such a link says so at the top. Our standing advice remains: exhaust Zoom's free settings first — most readers should never click the paid link at all.
Privacy
Analytics, part one: Cloudflare Web Analytics, collecting aggregate page views, referrers and device classes — no individual identification, nothing sold. Cloudflare's counter sets no cookies.
Analytics, part two: Google Analytics 4, run by Google LLC (by Google Ireland Ltd. if you're reading from the EEA or UK). It tells the desk which pages got read, which link or search sent you over, your rough city and country, the device and browser you joined from, and how long the visit ran. IP addresses? GA4 neither logs nor keeps them. On our account the advertising features are muted, as are Google signals and ad personalisation; this data never feeds an ad and never gets sold.
GA4 does use cookies — _ga and _ga_<ID> — which last up to 2 years and are only set once you've let analytics in; decline later and they're deleted. If your device's clock says you're in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you're asked before the meeting starts, so to speak: Google receives nothing until you press Accept. Everywhere else analytics is unmuted by default, and you can mute it whenever you like. A browser broadcasting Global Privacy Control gets read as a decline, unless you press Accept yourself. The desk files your answer in your browser's own storage area (local storage) — no cookie holds it.
Changed your mind? Reopen the analytics prompt. Google sets out its side in its privacy policy, and Google's opt-out browser add-on stops Google Analytics on every site, not just this one.
Affiliate redirects may set partner cookies on the destination under the partner's own policy. Email sent to us is kept only as long as needed to answer it.
